Alice Cooper. THE EYES OF ALICE COOPER> Back in the seventies when I was a young teenager (Honest !!) someone handed me a copy of a record
entitled 'Billion Dollar Babies' by Alice Cooper.
Having listened to it, I instantly became a huge fan and now posess every album and have lost count of the times I have seen him in concert.
I listen to the early records all the time (they are all available on CD now which is great as my vinyl copies have holes in !!)
from 'Love it to Death' and 'Killer' through to 'Goes to Hell' and 'Lace and Whiskey'. He has an awesome back catalogue with songs that span the length and breadth of human life and emotions.
I was never too in love with his heavy metal years. The albums were OK and the concerts great but somehow something was missing. Before it was Alice Cooper Music and then it was Alice singing heavy metal.
Well thankfully like a fine wine Alice just gets better as he gets older and this is clearly displayed on his latest offering 'The Eyes of Alice Cooper'. 'Brutal Planet' and 'Dragontown' started a return to form, and in my opinion, this latest offering seals it.
'The Coop' is back and firing on all cylinders !!!!
